Speaker: Robert L. Bogue, President, Thor Projects, LLC

For years you’ve been working on reusability behind the scenes. Procedural code, object oriented development, and Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) all did their part to reduce the amount of times that you have to write the same back end processing. However, these techniques are not effective at reusing your visual interface components – what the user actually sees. As a result, even though you may have one set of business rules managing the process you might have three or four user interfaces to that same set of back end business rules. You may have one application that is designed for internal users to modify the data, another for customers to see and change the information, and yet another for your partners.

Don’t rewrite screens for each application that you develop – learn to reuse your user interface between applications. In this Webcast, speaker Robert Bogue will highlight how to leverage technologies that exist today to reduce the number of times that you have to write the same user interface.

Attend this Webcast and learn:

  • how to develop reusable components that can be plugged into multiple applications
  • how to use style standards to skin your user interface to whatever application it’s in
  • emerging standards to allow you to render the display on one server and transfer the visual interface to another server.
  • how to gain control of your user interface reusability.
