At its first ever Mobile Developers Conference on Thursday, Yahoo unveiled a new suite of mobile development tools. It includes Flurry analytics, an app query dashboard, one-click data sharing, publishing tools and a mobile advertising platform.
The overarching theme of the announcement was that Yahoo can help developers make more money. “It’s really a platform that lets you monetize,” said Prashant Fuloria, senior vice president of advertising products at Yahoo.
According to the speakers at the event, the average American smartphone user spends 177 minutes with his or her device every day, and the mobile technology industry is worth $3.3 trillion worldwide.
