Windows 10 Update Will Include Developer Mode

When Microsoft releases the Windows 10 Anniversary Edition next month, the OS will have a new Developer Mode that makes it easy to access some of the feature settings commonly used by power users. “Under Developer Mode in the Insiders’ Builds, there is a nice collection of developer and power-user related settings brought together under one roof,” Scott Hanselman, principal program manager of outreach and community for Microsoft .NET and Visual Studio, blogged. “What’s great about this is that you already know these settings. As a developer, you likely install Windows and then immediately go around to Windows Explorer, the Registry, and a bunch of other places to tweak Windows to how you work as a developer.”

The update will also support the Bash Unix shell and Docker-compatible Hyper-V containers.
