Forrester has released a new report titled “The Forrester Wave: Mobile Low-Code Development Platforms, Q1 2017.” It compares eleven low-code mobile development tools, naming Kony, OutSystems, Mendix and Salesforce as “leaders.” Appian, K2, Alpha Software and Oracle get the “strong performers” label, and Capriza, I-exceed and Magic Software are “contenders.”
“The market for mobile low-code development platforms is growing because more aspiring, semiprofessional and professional developers use them to close the gap between demand for mobile apps and the talent available to create them,” the report says. “Tools must support a variety of mobile workloads, as well as developers with varying skill levels.”
