Google has officially launched Android 4.3, which offers some performance improvements over Android 4.2. In addition, users will see support for more languages, Bluetooth Low Energy support, multi-user parental control capabilities and a redesigned camera interface.

The release also has some new features of interest to the mobile development industry. Games and other graphics-intensive apps will benefit from smoother animations and OpenGL ES 3.0 support. Content providers will likely be happy about the new DRM APIs, and all apps will benefit from the improved notifications for the Android status bar.
