Microsoft has laid out its road map for upcoming improvements to Visual Studio Code, its open source code editor. The company plans to add improvements in three different areas:
- Happy Coding: Visual Studio Code will get interface and user experience improvements that will make it easier to use.
- Node, JavaScript and Typescript: The code editor will offer better server-side debugging, refinements to the Language Server Protocol, enhanced JavaScript discoverability and more.
- Extension Ecosystem: Microsoft plans to improve extension recommendations and searching, simplify issue resolution, provide more extension information and enhance the language API.
