Most mobile development firms know that getting onto one of Apple’s top 50 lists means almost certain success. But what does it take to get there?
A new report from Distimo breaks down the averages. To be on the top free list for iPhone apps, you need 23,000 free downloads per day. The top paid list requires 950 downloads per day, and the top grossing apps make $12,000 per day.
Of course, it’s even better to be in the App Store’s top 10. For that, you’ll need 70,000 free downloads per day, 4,000 paid downloads per day or $47,000 in daily revenue.
