VMware has announced its purchase of Apteligent, a mobile development and analytics tool vendor formerly known as Crittercism. The companies did not disclose the terms of the acquisition.
In 2014, VMware acquired mobile device management vendor AirWatch. “Apteligent adds to the investments in end user computing such as analytics, performance management, crash churn, Xamarin SDK and digital workspace. The goal here is to build on mobile and the AirWatch investment,” said Ray Wang, principal analyst at Constellation Research.
