According to CB Insights, venture capital (VC) firms have invested $262 million in mobile development companies this year. That’s about 59 percent of the total $446 million app startups have raised in 2013.
In addition, VC firms are also investing more heavily in companies that make developer tools. In fact, their investment in development tools has climbed 77 percent year-over-year.
