Vanilla Forums Raises $500,000 for its Open Source Software

Vanilla Forums announced that it has received $500,000 (CAD) in Series A funding to develop and market it’s open source community forum software.

The money came from Montreal Startup, with help from eonBusiness, Norseman Capital and Klein Venture Partners, according to a TechCrunch report.

Vanilla Forums offers an open source version of its forum software, and sells hosting services for use of it’s application. A TechStars company last year, the Vanilla Forums boasts clients such as Rackspace, Mozilla and O’Reilly Media.
