Twitter has unveiled a new suite of mobile development services that it calls Fabric. According to the company blog, “The Fabric platform is made of three modular kits that address some of the most common and pervasive challenges that all app developers face: stability, distribution, revenue and identity.”
Those three kits are the Twitter Kit, which allows developers to integrate apps with Twitter and use Twitter log-in credentials; the Crashlytics Kit, which enables analytics, crash reporting and beta testing; and the MoPub Kit, which connects apps with the MoPub advertising platform.
Previous moves by Twitter alienated a large of group of developers, so industry watchers are curious to see whether this new offering will bring developers back to Twitter.
