Jeffrey Way is a JavaScript developer. Apparently he loves JavaScript, but even Way realizes the language has some problems. He has compiled a top 10 list of what JavaScript got wrong.
“I’d like to make a note that I love JavaScript,” Way explained. “This article is only meant for some fun, and for us to be aware of some its short-comings.”
Number one on Way’s list is the name.
“JavaScript is NOT Java,” Way said.
He also thinks reliance on global variables and scope inconsistencies are JavaScript downfalls and annoyances.
