With the arrival of 2017, several different vendors have made announcements related to their team collaboration tools. Microsoft is inviting enterprise application development teams and other groups to test drive Teams, Microsoft’s collaboration platform that it launched in November. The test drives allow up to twelve people to work with the tool for about 90 minutes.

Slack, one of the biggest players in the enterprise collaboration market, isn’t sitting still. It responded to the competition by announcing new integrations with Google Drive, Docs, Sheets and Slides that will become available in the first half of this year.

Finally, a newcomer known as Flock has launched a new platform called FlockOS, which it describes as “the world’s first chat operating system.” It allows developers to create interface buttons and widgets that can improve team collaboration. The freemium app has been downloaded more than 250,000 times.
