According to a new report from IDC, global tablet shipments totaled just 43 million in the third quarter. That was a 14.7 percent year-over-year decrease.
Apple was the top tablet maker with 22 percent of the market, but even the mighty iPad saw shipments drop 6.2 percent. Second place Samsung had a 15 percent share, and its shipments declined 19.3 percent.
The report also noted that cheap detachable computers have been flooding the market.
