Mobile development firm Branchfire has published the results of a new survey which found that 49 percent of app users said they would be willing to pay a monthly subscription for some mobile apps. Of those, 48 percent would be willing to pay less than $25, and 31 percent would be willing to pay less than $10. Only 2 percent said they would pay more than $25. “Ten dollars a month is the sweet spot for subscribers,” said the report.

The report also found that 37 percent of tablet owners already subscribe to an app. The most popular categories for app subscriptions were TV/movie streaming apps and games.

However, 57 percent of the people surveyed said they have never paid any money for an app.
