A new survey of IT managers and professionals conducted by F5 Networks found that the overwhelming majority — 87 percent — are pursuing a multi-cloud strategy, with 59 percent using between two and six cloud computing services. Other key takeaways from the survey included the following:
- 56 percent make cloud computing decisions on an application-by-application basis.
- 25 percent of organizations pursuing digital transformation have a majority of their applications in the cloud; 15 percent of other organizations said the same.
- 47 percent said the drive to digital and the cloud is changing enterprise application development.
- 41 percent are pursuing new application architectures like containers and microservices.
