A new study from Flurry finds that people are using their tablets all day long, but usage peaks during “prime time” between 7 and 11 p.m. “The data show that the tablet is no longer a living room only device, but a highly portable device and always-on device as far as media consumption is concerned,” stated the report. “In fact TV-style prime-time (7:00 pm to 11:00 pm) accounts for only 33% of usage compared 65% to 70% for traditional TV.”
The usage graphs look very different for different types of apps. While productivity and utility apps show a sharp spike during prime time, gaming, media and entertainment app usage rises very gradually before a steep drop-off after 8 p.m. Check out the full article to see the graphs.
