At Microsoft’s annual shareholder meeting on Wednesday, former CEO Steve Ballmer had some harsh words for the company he used to lead. He criticized the company’s plan for universal Windows apps, bluntly saying, “That won’t work.” He said the company should instead enable Windows phones to “run Android apps.” (Microsoft recently put on hold a project that would allow Android apps to run on Windows devices.)
Ballmer also found fault with the way the company reports cloud computing revenue, calling it “bulls—.” He added, “They should report the revenue, not the run rate.”
