Several politicians have talked about wanting to learn to code, but one has actually shared code he has written. Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong posted the code for an open source C++ Sudoku solver he wrote to Facebook. At a speech last month, he referenced the project, noting, “The last program I wrote was a Sudoku solver in C++ several years ago, so I’m out of date.”
The prime minister has two children who graduated from MIT and work in IT. One of them gave him a textbook on Haskell. Lee says, “One day that will be my retirement reading.”
