Evans Data has released a new report titled “Internet of Things Study 2015, Volume I,” which finds that security is the top concern among IoT developers. “Twenty-one percent of developers report that the notion that items can be hacked is their primary concern regarding the Internet of Things,” the company said. The rest of the top five concerns included the following: technology will exceed demand, variety of data, privacy and amount of data, in that order.
The report also found that IoT developers are concentrating on business apps rather than consumer apps and that the most common types of IoT programming projects were analytics of aggregated data and middleware and back-end/server work.
