Another enterprise software vendor has jumped on the blockchain bandwagon. At its SAPPHIRE NOW event, SAP announced that its Leonardo Blockchain cloud computing service is now generally available. SAP competitors like Oracle, IBM, Microsoft and Amazon also offer cloud blockchain services.
According to SAP’s Gil Perez, most SAP customers are in the early stages of experimenting with blockchain. The SAP offering will support a variety of distributed ledger technologies, including Hyperledger (an open source project which SAP sponsors), MultiChain and others.
