Russian Government Plans to Switch to Open Source Software

By 2015, if everything goes according to plan, the Russian government will have fully implemented an order signed by Prime Minister Vladimir Putin to switch the federal government over to open source software.

According to Electronista, the order says that Russia is planning to set up a national repository, similar to the App Store, but for free and open source operating systems.
