The mobile development business is already booming, but a new report says the number of app downloads could double in the next four years. In “Future App Stores: Discovery, Monetisation & Ecosystem Analysis 2013 – 2018,” Juniper Research forecasts 80 billion downloads for 2013 and 160 billion for 2017.
The researchers believe that new app discovery services, like Google Play Game Services, will give a significant boost to downloads, particularly free downloads.
