It looks like the busiest U.S. shopping days of the year were very good to the mobile development industry. According to a report from mobile intelligence vendor Quettra, mobile app usage rose 30 percent in the U.S. and 10 percent worldwide on Cyber Monday (December 1). That tops the numbers from Black Friday (November 28), when app usage increased 25 percent in the U.S. and 5 percent worldwide.
Not surprisingly, deal and coupon apps saw some of the highest usage spikes, spiking up 57 percent on Black Friday. Retail apps also did well, increasing their usage by 29 percent on Cyber Monday.
