A new report from Localytics suggests that the mobile development industry is doing a better job of making apps sticky. Currently, 34 percent of people that download an app use it 11 or more times—that’s up 10 percent since the previous year. However, 22 percent of people who download an app only use it once, which is about the same as last year.

Interestingly, app retention for Android and iOS is now roughly equal. In the previous study, only 23 percent of Android users accessed an app 11 or more times, compared to 34 percent of iPhone and iPad owners. The report authors attribute the change to the debut of more “app-friendly” Android devices.
