A new report from App Annie finds that 70 percent of Google Play revenue comes from three countries: Japan, the U.S. and South Korea. Still the biggest revenue source for Android, Japan’s Google Play revenue increased 1.4 times this year. In second place, U.S. revenues climbed 150 percent, while South Korea jumped up 1.3 times.
In the developing markets, Brazil saw downloads rise 90 percent, India 50 percent, and Russia and Mexico more than 30 percent.
Overall, mobile development firms say their Google Play downloads increase 30 percent year-over-year. Overall profits also rose 30 percent, while game revenue climbed 50 percent.
