A new report from InMobi finds that iOS developers are facing substantially higher advertising costs than Android developers. According to the State of Mobile App Downloads report, the average cost-per-install (CPI) is 85 percent higher for iOS apps than Android apps.
Other interesting findings from the report included the following:
- The U.S. has more app downloads than any other county and accounts for 18 percent of the total.
- France has the highest CPI for mobile apps.
- 64 percent of app downloads are games.
- The highest number of downloads occur on Friday; Tuesday has the fewest.
