According to a new report from Crittercism, the latest version of iOS is giving mobile development firms more problems than the latest version of Android. After analyzing crash reports from 20,000 apps, the firm found that apps crash about 2.2 percent of the time on iOS 8, compared to 2.0 percent of the time for Android 5.0 Lollipop. When all versions of the operating systems are compared, both Apple’s and Google’s platforms crash 2.5 percent of the time.
The most crash-prone devices is the Samsung Galaxy S5, with a 2.5 percent crash rate. By comparison, the iPhone 6 crashes 2.1 percent of the time, and the iPhone 4S crashes 2.21 percent of the time.
