Evans Data Corp has released a new study which says that there are more than 5.4 million programmers doing development work in cloud computing environments. That’s a 375 percent increase since the company first started tracking cloud development in 2009.
“Developers are embracing cloud development platforms not only because of the cost factor but also the ease of scaling.” said Janel Garvin, CEO of Evans Data. “But the availability of tools that have become prevalent across cloud platforms is certainly also a driving factor.”
The Asia-Pacific region has the most cloud developers and also has the fastest-growing cloud development population. Latin America has the fewest cloud developers.
