According to a new study from Sensor Tower, the average iPhone user spent $35 on apps in 2015. Of that amount, $25 went to games, $3.40 went to music, $1.80 went to social networking, $1 went to entertainment and $0.40 went to lifestyle apps.

As far as app installs go, the average iPhone owner downloaded 10.5 games apps, 3.4 photo and video apps, 3.3 social networking apps, 2.7 entertainment apps and 2.3 lifestyle apps.

The report noted that games continue to be the most lucrative category for the mobile development industry. “The Games category offers developers access to not only the largest subset of app consumers, but also the one willing to spend the most on premium apps and in-app purchases (IAPs),” blogged Randy Nelson, Sensor Tower’s head of mobile. “We estimate that each game install — an average of 10.5 per device — grosses an average of $2.43.”
