CNET is reporting that Apple is developing a headset with both augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) capabilities. Citing “a person familiar with Apple’s plans,” the report says the device, codenamed T288, would feature an 8K display for each eye. The insider added that the headset is due for release in 2020.
Apple did not comment on the story. However, CEO Tim Cook has said AR technology is as important as the iPhone.
