According to a new report from App Annie, users downloaded 175 billion apps in 2017. Total mobile app revenues exceeded $85 billion.
Much of the download growth for the year occurred in India, which is now the second largest market for downloads after experiencing 215 percent growth over the last two years. Downloads grew 125 percent in China, which is the leading country for app downloads. In the United States, downloads actually dropped 5 percent, moving the country into third overall.
