Red Hat has made a pair of announcements related to its enterprise application development tools. First, it has updated its Fuse cloud-native integration platform. Fuse 7 now incorporates Fuse Online, a low code integration platform as a service. “Fuse 7 allows for more agile integration development, as it creates an integration platform that spans multiple environments while still being lightweight and decentralized,” said Sameer Parulkar, senior product marketing manager at Red Hat.
Second, the company launched Buildah 1.0, an open source tool for building container application images. “Buildah is a utility that is focused on the creation of container images that are OCI (Open Container Initiative) compliant, following the OCI Image Specification 1.0,” said Ben Breard, senior technology product manager for Linux Containers at Red Hat. Buildah is also now included in the company’s flagship product, Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
