If you’re a small developer who has been sued by a patent troll, the White House wants you to know that President Obama has your back. The administration has released a list of five executive actions and seven recommendations for Congressional action that it says will reduce the “frivolous lawsuits” filed by patent-holding entities.
The recommendations are posted online. They include measures to make it more clear who is profiting from patent enforcement, calling for stronger enforcement of existing laws, providing more protection for consumers and business, and placing more stringent requirements on those applying for patents.
