Lauren Orsini at ReadWrite has posted an interesting story about a nineteen-year-old college freshman who taught himself to code very quickly. Tywan Wade, a business and economics major at George Washington University, had an idea for a mobile app that would tell users whether or not it was too cold to wear shorts. What he didn’t have was a background in computer science.

The article tells how he taught himself enough C++ to start working on his app in just three days. Thanks to a lot of perseverance, he eventually got his app accepted into the App Store, and it has been downloaded more than 3,000 times. The moral of the story is that anyone can learn to code.
