Parse has announced that it is adding support for JavaScript to its service. The company simplifies the process of building mobile apps by handling the server-side code development and maintenance. In the past, it supported only native mobile development, but now it also supports mobile Web apps. According to the company, the new JavaScript SDK boasts enhanced security features, like per-object Access Control Lists, which aren’t available through any other JavaScript back-end service.
So far, about 16,000 apps use Parse’s service. Parse is free for up to 1 million API calls per month, or $199 for up to 15 million API requests per month.
