Oracle has released NetBeans 7.1 with a number of improvements aimed at making it easier to build user interfaces with JavaFX 2.0, CSS 3 and Swing. The new version of the open source IDE now supports JavaFX 2.0, and it adds features like syntax coloring and code completion to is CCS3 support. In addition, it adds some improvements to its Java Swing capabilities, and it uses a new debugger for JavaFX and Swing. “For me, NetBeans 7.1 is all about the user’s interface,” said Oracle’s Bill Pataky.
According to Pataky, more than 1 million developers now use NetBeans.
