Oracle has announced that it is adding artificial intelligence capabilities, which it calls “Adaptive Intelligence,” to its Customer Experience Cloud Suite. The suite includes Oracle Marketing Cloud, Oracle Sales Cloud, Oracle CPQ Cloud, Oracle Commerce Cloud, Oracle Service Cloud and Oracle Social Cloud. “We wanted to greatly simplify what it takes to make these [AI] capabilities on-boarded by companies. We don’t walk in with armies of data scientists or require long integration projects. Connectivity and embedding is really right out of the box,” said Jack Berkowitz, VP of products and data science at Oracle.
Several other companies, including Salesforce, IBM and Adobe, have also recently added artificial intelligence capabilities to their cloud-based software. Some industry observers say that a sort of AI arms race seems to be developing among cloud computing providers as vendors race to take advantage of the analytics and automation capabilities offered by machine learning technology.
