OpenShot is a small open source project with lots of potential.
Just two months ago, Jonathan Thomas released version 1.0 of his non-linear open source video editor for Linux.
And then earlier this month the software engineer from Texas released OpenShot 1.1 and team Ubuntu accepted his video editing software to be a one-click install.
Ubuntu users can find OpenShot in the “Sound & Video” section of the “Software Center.”
And it looks like Debian might pick up Thomas’ application too.
“We have also found a Sponsor for Debian,” he said, “and are currently waiting to be approved for Debian. In the next 1 to 2 weeks, I expect OpenShot 1.1 will also be available in Debian Unstable.”
