The first fully functional and completely open source development kit based on Symbian^3 is now available.
“This is the first time functionally complete has been achieved for a fully open-sourced Symbian release and represents the transition of this latest version of the platform from largely feature submission and stabilization into the ‘hardening phase,'” Symbian Release Council Chair Mark Skrebels said.
Symbian version 3 offers an improved user experience, multiple personalized homescreens, advanced multimedia support including HDMI, Next Generation graphics, better data networking and the list goes on.
