A new version of the open source Flash player, Lightspark 0.4.4, is now available for download.
This latest version of Lightspark offers localization support using gettext, ActionScript execution handling, improved network handling and stream control for play, pause and stop.
“It should be noted that, although now video streams controls are supported they’ll be not usable in most YouTube videos as mouse event dispatching to controls is still clobbered by missing masking support,” Lightspark developer Alessandro Pignotti said.
Lightspark is developing quickly and the next version is expected to feature an Advanced Graphics Engine.
