Apple publishes lots of lists of the most frequently downloaded iOS apps, but high downloadeds a don’t always correlate to high quality. Appsfire is stepping into the gap with a new list that ranks apps by their App Scores. It determines App Scores based on star ratings from users, social media buzz and developer reputation.
According to Appsfire’s list, the top five free iOS apps are Instagram, Google Translate, iHandy Level Free, Flashlight and Pinterest, in that order. The top five paid apps are WhatsApp Messenger, Camera+, GarageBand, Free Music Download Pro and Pimp Your Screen.
