Google has released Container Structure Test, a new open source framework that allows enterprises to test Docker containers before deploying them to cloud computing environments. It supports command, file existence, file content and metadata tests, allowing cloud administrators to verify the contents of a container before deploying it in production.
Google says it has been using the tool internally for more than a year.
Docker has become particularly popular among enterprise application development teams that utilize DevOps approaches.
