Lithuania-based Neurotechnology recently launched the SentiBotics Navigation Software Development Kit, designed for researchers and engineers working on autonomous robot navigation.

The SDK provides tools for the development of pathway learning in robotics systems, including object recognition and obstacle detection. The system receives initial navigational parameters from user input, enabling subsequent autonomous operation, including autonomous charging.

“SentiBotics Navigation SDK provides deep neural network based robot navigation software ready for integration into customers’ robotics systems,” Neurotechnology team lead for robotics Dr. Povilas Daniusis said in a statement. “The SDK provides robust functionality for robotics engineers as well as academic and educational institutions.”

“The robotics algorithm implementations are designed for robots operating in real indoor environments,” Daniusis added. “They can also be used to compose more complex autonomous behavior.”

The SDK is available as software only, as a complete package, or as a ready-to-run robotics system that includes Neurotechnology’s mobile reference platform prototype. A free 30-day trial is available.

More information on the SDK is available here.
