Native GitHub Integration Comes to the Atom Text Editor

GitHub has announced that Atom, its text editor based on Node.js and HTML, now integrates with GitHub code repositories. In the past, this type of integration required a third-party plugin. The company says the change “reduces context switching and increases productivity by bringing core workflow tools directly into your editor.”

In addition, the Atom interface now has dockable tool panels, much like what Visual Studio and Eclipse have.
