Museum to Release Source Code for Apple’s Lisa OS

The Computer History Museum has announced that sometime in 1918 it will release the source code for Apple’s Lisa. Released in 1983 when it cost a whopping $10,000 (the equivalent of $25,000 in today’s money), the Lisa was one of the first personal computers to feature a graphical user interface, mouse and file system.

The Lisa was a flop, but it has become something of a legend in computing history. And soon developers will have the chance to play around with the original code for the device.
