The open source community is about to get a cash infusion from the Mozilla Foundation. The non-profit says it will give away $1 million that will be shared among up to ten different projects.
The goals of the Mozilla Open Source Support, or MOSS, program are to “give back” to projects that Mozilla uses and to “give forward” to projects that could make open source as a whole more successful. The “give back” projects will get their money first, and Mozilla plans to announce the recipients on December 12.
