As competition heats up and app discovery becomes more challenging, more mobile development firms are requesting reviews from journalists. A new report from Big Ideas Machine found that 75 percent of technology journalists get an average of 20 pitches from mobile development firms every day. And 8 percent of app reviewers say they get more than 50 pitches every day, or 13,000 every year. Not surprisingly, less than ten percent of pitches result in a review being written.
Games were the type of app most likely to be reviewed. The survey also found that app reviewers prefer to be contacted by email rather than by Twitter.
