Microsoft has released a beta version of Cognitive Toolkit (CNTK) 2.0, its set of deep learning tools. Available on GitHub, the open source toolkit now has better support for the Python programming language. The latest version also promises improved performance.
“Because of deep learning, our ability to engage with machines in a more natural way is having absolutely fantastic breakthroughs,” said Xuedong Huang, distinguished engineer and chief scientist of speech R&D at Microsoft. “Microsoft combined a number of APIs to enable developers to really access AI. That’s part of the effort to democratize AI. The Cognitive Toolkit is a toolkit that has created all these intelligence models.”
