Microsoft has launched a new cloud computing service called IoT Central. It’s designed to help enterprise application development teams create Internet of Things applications without having to write a lot of code. “What we’re finding is that building an IoT solution can be pretty darn challenging. For a lot of companies, it’s outside of their reach because they simply don’t have the skill sets available,” said Sam George, director of Azure IoT.
For now, IoT Central is available as a public preview. It is free for 30 days with 10 devices and 100MB of traffic. After that, the service charges $0.50 per device per month or $500 for 100 devices and 100MB of traffic.
